Quality Management

J.M. Davidson is an A.S.M.E. Coded Fabrication Facility.  J. M. Davidson maintains a set of strict quality processes and prides itself as a company for producing products of the highest quality found in our industry.  The company’s Quality Assurance Manual maintains set procedures for all key business processes, including monitoring processes to ensure they are effective, keeping adequate records, checking output for defects, regularly reviewing individual processes for effectiveness, and facilitating continual improvement.

Furthermore, J. M. Davidson maintains a staff of two Certified Welding Inspectors, four members of a quality control team, and a Quality Assurance Manager who reports directly to company officers.  Our Quality Assurance Manual and References are available upon request.  J. M. Davidson currently holds “U”, “S”, and “R” stamps.  J. M. Davidson has certified welders for this purpose. All welders on staff are certified in accordance with A.S.M.E. Section IX in three of the main welding processes, “SMAW”, “GTAW”, and “FCAW” along with combinations thereof: “GTAW/SMAW” and “GTAW/FCAW.”  J.M. Davidson's fabrication facility is able to weld structural pipe, beam angle, and plate.  The fabrication shop is also ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) certified which allows welding on offshore structures and platforms.  These certifications are in accordance with AWS D1.1/D1.1M.

Safety Management

J. M. Davidson is dedicated to safe project execution.  Our Safety Culture is based on knowledge, skill, and an attitude of care and concern.  It is our duty to provide our employees with experienced supervision, effective training, and safe equipment.  The success of our Safety Program is based on our commitment to recognize and eliminate all potential hazards at our job sites.  J.M. Davidson employs 4 certified MSHA trainers, 2 certified OSHA trainers, 1 Field Safety Auditor, and a Safety Director.  All of our employees receive safety training before being allowed to begin work. This training may include: MSHA 16 hour training; OSHA 10/30 hour training; Substation Entry Training; Basic Plus Certification from the contractors Safety Council; Pre-Job Safety Analysis Meetings; Weekly Tool Box Safety Talks; Site Specific Safety Training. J.M.Davidson is also a proud member of the Texas Holmes Safety Council.
